Electric propulsion starts with the vessel profile, not a catalogue

Motor power is only one part of the decision. Hull, displacement, speed, running time, batteries, charging and mechanical installation determine whether a configuration fits the intended use.

Electric propulsion

Propulsion, energy and mechanics must align

We separate the requirements for main propulsion, quiet manoeuvring and thrusters, then assess thrust and duty for each mode. The motor, controls, battery bank, charging, protection and installation method can then be joined in one testable architecture.

When to contact us

  • A diesel drive is being considered for replacement with an electric or hybrid system.

  • A POD drive is required for quiet operation, precise manoeuvring or a new-build project.

  • An existing thruster is weak or unreliable, or a new bow or stern installation is planned.

PROPULSION AND MANOEUVRING

What we check

01

Hull type and form, displacement, waterline, expected speed and operating profile.

02

Required thrust, duty cycle, peak and continuous power, and realistic range needs.

03

Batteries, BMS, charging sources, DC distribution, cables, fuses and isolation.

04

Mechanical space, hull structure, cooling, controls and service access.

Electric propulsion

What you receive

  1. 01

A feasibility assessment with constraints and trade-offs made explicit.

  2. 02

A propulsion and energy-system concept for the actual vessel.

  3. 03

An ordered plan for design, installation and checks before commissioning.
