A client, vessel, installed equipment or result is identified only when supporting material exists and publication is permitted.
System before component
Power, protection, networks, mechanics, configuration and service access are assessed as one connected system.
Verifiable completion
Work concludes with functional checks, commissioning and documentation appropriate to its scope.
Client privacy
Identity, location and vessel details are not published without permission; anonymity must never become a fabricated reference.

Marine electronics
Before replacing equipment, we identify what is installed, where each device obtains its data and where communication fails. For a new installation or refit, the plan reflects available space, existing cabling, device compatibility and the crew’s needs.
Core checks- Power supply, voltage drop, circuit protection, grounding and connector condition.
- NMEA 2000 or other data-network topology, termination and bus loading.
- Data sources, priorities, software versions and configuration of each device.

Marine energy
We start with the loads and the way the vessel is used, then establish what the battery bank must deliver and how it can be charged safely. A lithium, sodium-ion or existing lead-acid bank is therefore assessed together with the alternator, shore charger, solar and inverter.
Core checks- Daily consumption, peak loads and required autonomy before selecting capacity.
- Battery bank, BMS, busbars, cable sizes, fuses and main isolation.
- Alternator, shore charger, solar controller, DC-DC devices and charging profiles.

Electric propulsion
We separate the requirements for main propulsion, quiet manoeuvring and thrusters, then assess thrust and duty for each mode. The motor, controls, battery bank, charging, protection and installation method can then be joined in one testable architecture.
Core checks- Hull type and form, displacement, waterline, expected speed and operating profile.
- Required thrust, duty cycle, peak and continuous power, and realistic range needs.
- Batteries, BMS, charging sources, DC distribution, cables, fuses and isolation.

Diagnostics and refit
We record how the system is connected, reproduce the fault when safe, trace power and signals, and separate cause from effect. For a refit, findings become priorities so safety issues, reliability and desired upgrades are not addressed at random.
Core checks- Voltage and current at rest and under load, connections, voltage drops and protection.
- Circuit insulation, signs of overheating, moisture, corrosion and mechanical damage.
- Network communication, configuration, alarms and the sequence preceding the fault.

Water and fuel systems
A watermaker is sized around required water volume, available run time, feed-water quality, power and space. For fresh water and fuel, we inspect pumps, hoses, tanks, filters, valves and service access so the cause can be isolated before parts are replaced.
Core checks- Intake, prefilters, pressures, membrane, flow and electrical supply of the watermaker.
- Pumps, accumulator, valves, hoses, tanks and possible air or water ingress points.
- Fuel condition, tank bottom, water separation, filters, return line and required system flow.

Anchoring and hull protection
For anchoring, we assess the relationship between vessel, anchor, chain, windlass, bow roller and chain locker. For ultrasonic protection, we evaluate the hull, target surfaces, transducer positions and power supply without presenting it as a replacement for every other hull-maintenance measure.
Core checks- Vessel type, anchoring use, anchor mass and geometry, and chain size and standard.
- Windlass, gypsy, motor, contactor, controls, power supply, protection and voltage drop under load.
- Bow roller, chain lead angle, locker depth, drainage and secure anchor stowage.
