For a new system, work starts with sizing. On an existing system we first identify the exact model, electrical and mechanical assembly and whether the issue is in the motor, controls, gypsy, rode or installation geometry.

Actual diameter, pitch/standard, rope construction, splice and gypsy wear are checked.

Power under load is measured and controls, motor, gearbox, clutch, bearings, seals and deck installation are inspected.

How do I identify the exact Maxwell model?

Find the label and serial number on the unit or motor and photograph the deck unit, motor and gearbox. Visually similar versions can use different parts.

Can a new gypsy solve chain skipping?

It can if wear or a mismatched standard is the cause, but skipping can also result from incorrect chain calibration, entry angle, insufficient fall or the rope-to-chain splice.

Is a retrofit possible without new deck cut-outs?

Sometimes, but only after comparing mounting template, deck thickness, motor position, chain pipe, power and controls. Do not order based on exterior appearance alone.
