Hidea Service Point • Split

Hidea outboards — service, diagnostics and seasonal preparation.

UnLucky is listed on the official Hidea locator as a service point in Croatia. From Split we handle requests for scheduled maintenance, fault finding, fuel and cooling-system checks, engine electrics, controls and parts preparation matched to the exact model and serial number.

Engine range and series names were checked against the official Hidea Europe website. Exact version, model year, parts and service procedure are always confirmed from the engine plate and current documentation.

Service based on the engine’s actual condition

Scheduled maintenance and systematic diagnostics for Hidea outboards.

The same symptom can have different causes: fuel, ignition, cooling, power supply, controls or mechanical condition. We therefore work from engine identification and owner input through measurements, inspection and a functional test.

We confirm the scope after receiving the model, serial number, model year if known, service history and symptom description.

01

Scheduled maintenance

The service plan is matched to the model, operating hours, calendar interval and vessel use.

  • Engine oil and filters to model specification
  • Gear oil and check for possible water ingress
  • Spark plugs, anodes and consumables as required
02

Fuel, EFI and carburetion

Hard starting, unstable running and power loss are checked across the full fuel path, not one component.

  • Tank, lines, filter and ventilation
  • Fuel pump, pressure and possible contamination
  • EFI or carburettor assembly for the model
03

Cooling system

A weak tell-tale, temperature alarm or overheating requires checks of the intake, impeller, passages, thermostat and operating conditions.

  • Intake grilles and cooling-water flow
  • Water-pump impeller and housing
  • Thermostat, deposits and flushing as required
04

Ignition and engine electrics

Starting and charging issues require checks of the battery, voltage drop, grounds, starter, ignition and charging output.

  • Battery, terminals, fuses and grounds
  • Starter, relays and cranking voltage drop
  • Ignition, sensors and charging by version
05

Controls, gearcase and propeller

Hard shifting, vibration and weak thrust are not judged from the propeller alone; the complete mechanical chain is checked.

  • Cables or remote controls and adjustment
  • Propeller, shaft, nut and visible damage
  • Trim/tilt and engine mounting as indicated
06

Pre-season and pre-purchase inspection

Inspection before intensive use or purchase helps separate routine maintenance from hidden faults and deferrable work.

  • Visual condition, leaks and corrosion
  • Cold start and behaviour at different speeds
  • Condition record and recommended priorities

Official product range

From portable carburettor models to higher-power EFI outboards.

Hidea Europe lists carburettor and EFI series, spare parts, accessories and kits. Horsepower alone is not enough for service: the full model code, shaft length, control type, serial number and installed equipment matter.

Availability of each model or part depends on the current European programme and supplier confirmation.

Compact HDF models

The official site lists portable and smaller four-stroke carburettor versions, including HDF2.5, HDF4, HDF5, HDF6, HDF8 and HDF9.9.

Confirm the full code, shaft and control type.

Mid-range EFI

The current listing includes EFI versions from HDEBF20EFI and HDEF30, HDEF40, HDEF50 and HDEF60, with control and shaft variants.

EFI diagnostics and parts depend on the exact version.

Higher-power EFI

The official Hidea Europe listing includes HDEF100, HDEF115, HDEF130, HDEF150, HDEF175 and HDEF200 EFI series.

Operating hours and maintenance history are needed.

Parts, accessories and kits

Hidea Europe separately lists spare parts, propellers, instruments, controls and kits. Supply is checked against serial number and compatibility.

Do not order a part from a photo or horsepower alone.

Information that speeds up service

A useful first answer starts with a photo of the engine plate.

Send as much verifiable information as possible. It lets us separate a maintenance request, parts request, electrical fault and possible mechanical repair before agreeing the next practical step.

Prepare a service request
  • Photo of the complete plate with model and serial number
  • Approximate model year and operating hours if available
  • When the last service was done and what was replaced
  • Whether the issue occurs cold, warm, at idle or under load
  • Any alarm, warning light, unusual sound, smoke or fuel smell
  • Photos of installation, controls, battery and connections
  • Vessel location and engine access conditions
  • A short symptom video only when safe to record

UnLucky service process

A clear path from request to on-water verification.

We do not replace parts blindly. Work is organised around the symptom, available documentation, vessel conditions and agreed scope.

For a warranty case, procedure and approval are aligned with current importer and manufacturer rules before work begins.

Information intake

We check model, serial number, location, history, symptoms and request goal.

Initial inspection

Visual inspection and base measurements direct further diagnostics without random parts replacement.

Work approval

We explain findings, propose priorities and confirm parts, work scope and next step.

Service and verification

After approval, work is completed followed by leak and functional or running tests when conditions allow.

Publicly verifiable status

UnLucky is listed as a Hidea Service Point in Croatia.

The official Hidea/Lalizas Croatia list names Obrt UNLUCKY, its Žrnovnica/Split address and contact as a “Service Point”. We use that wording precisely, without adding sales or distributor status not shown in the locator.

Frequently asked questions

Before bringing in the engine or arranging an onboard visit.

These answers help prepare your request. A final assessment follows engine identification and inspection of its actual condition.

Is UnLucky listed as a Hidea service point?

UnLucky is publicly listed as a “Service Point” on the official Hidea/Lalizas Croatia page. The locator does not list UnLucky as a Selling Point, so this page does not add sales or distributor status.

Which Hidea engines do you service?

We can assess requests for series shown in the current European range, but acceptance and scope are confirmed only after the full model code, serial number, year and work description are supplied. This avoids preparing incorrect parts or tools.

Can you source a Hidea spare part?

Availability and compatibility are checked from exact engine identification. Send the plate photo, a photo of the installed part and the original part number if available. Supply depends on supplier confirmation.

How often should a Hidea outboard be serviced?

The interval comes from the exact model manual and is compared with operating hours, calendar time, salt-water use and storage conditions. We do not recommend one universal interval for every model and use profile.

Do you service onboard or in the workshop?

It depends on the engine, work type, access and location. A small portable engine may be better handled in the workshop, while some checks and work on larger units can be arranged onboard. We confirm the method after the initial information.

What is needed for a warranty request?

Send the invoice or proof of purchase, model, serial number, date first used, symptom description and photos. Warranty status and procedure are not automatic; they are checked with the importer/manufacturer before work intended to be covered begins.
